Twenty-seven individuals and 19 businesses were charged in the 48 hours leading up to 6am on Sunday morning by police for breaking coronavirus measures.

During the two-day period a total of 5,358 checks were carried out around the island.

Most fines against individuals were for not wearing a mask properly.

For the businesses most concerned not having signs up about how many people were allowed inside and not having someone posted at the entrance to check for a SafePass, dancing, overcrowding and the absence of a SafePass among workers and customers.
