Foreign minister travels to Brussels on Sunday for EU Council

Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos will travel to Brussels on Sunday, where he will participate in the proceedings of the EU Foreign Affairs Council (EFC), which will take place on Monday, May 22.

According to a foreign ministry press release, the focus of the discussions will be, among other things, the latest developments in Ukraine following the Russian invasion and the situation in the Horn of Africa.

It is noted that an exchange of views on the Western Balkans will follow, while EU foreign minister will have an informal discussion with counterparts from the region as part of a working lunch.

The ministers will also be concerned with other current regional and international issues, including the developments in Tunisia as well as the EU’s relations with the countries of Central Asia, the press release concludes.
