A coordinated operation to combat noise pollution conducted in Paphos over the past two days resulted in charges filed against nine establishments.
According to Paphos police spokesperson Michalis Nicolaou, between 9.15pm and 11.50pm on Saturday members of the Paphos crime prevention unit searched several establishments under court warrants and confiscated sound systems.
As a result of the searches, the managers of nine establishments were charged.
Nicolaou said that coordinated efforts to tackle noise pollution will continue.
