A policewoman sustained leg injuries during incidents after the AEK vs AEL football match in Larnaca on Sunday, when fans hurled rocks, Molotov cocktails and flares against police officers.
The police answered with tear gas outside the AEK arena stadium to break up the mob.
Larnaca police spokesman Spyros Chrysostomou said the injured policewoman was taken to Larnaca general hospital, where doctors found bruising of the shin.
The police are looking into the possibility that the fans had stashed the Molotov cocktails outside the stadium and used them after the match.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old will appear in court on February 17 for verbal abusing police officers.
The man was arrested upon his exit from the stadium and appeared in court on Monday.
The man was released on bail, while a ban from sports venues was also issued.
