As part of the initiatives of Larnaka 2030, which is leading the city’s bid for the title of European Capital of Culture for 2030, five interdisciplinary walks titled Pathkia Pathkia are being held in the communities of the newly formed Municipality of Dromolaxia – Meneou.

The next walk, this Sunday, will take visitors to the community of Kiti. In collaboration with artists, residents, and local organisations, the free walk will explore the history and identity of the community through residents’ narratives and artistic activities.

Historical sites and cultural landmarks will be uncovered while listening to personal stories and memories that shed light on unseen aspects of the past.

Through the walk, the history of Kiti’s development will come to life – from infrastructure growth to the transformations that have shaped its modern social life. This experience aims to inspire participants, inviting them to reflect and envision a collective future for the community.

Participants will meet in front of the Former Kiti Community Council (New Municipality Offices) at 10am to embark on the interdisciplinary walk that lasts one hour and 45 minutes. As limited spots are available, the walk is currently fully booked yet those interested are encouraged to sign up online and join the waiting list.
