A 27-year-old man who was reported missing in Larnaca in 2013 has been located safe and sound in another country, the police said on Friday.

The police said the man was reported missing at the Larnaca police station on October 19, 2013, with the then 15-year-old having been absent from the housing facility for minors in which he resided for more than 24 hours.

On that day, the police released his details to the public with the aim of gathering information which may lead to him being found.

Then, 12 years later on February 23 this year, information was received from the authorities of a European Union member state that the man had been found in their country and was “in good health”.
