The hospitality world re-opens, the SMS scheme ends hopefully for good this time, and live music returns to the local entertainment scene. Though there are still uncertainties to navigate, good things are on the horizon and at the quaint Limassol venue Mason Bar one local band will bring groovy, Latin tunes this week.

On Thursday 13, the famous Latin jazz band, Havana Noche, is hitting Mason Bar’s stage for an unforgettable comeback, transmitting the energy, enthusiasm and passion of Latin music. The band was formed in Cyprus by percussionist Constandinos Paouros and includes musicians from Cuba, Colombia and Cyprus. Their music is based on Latin jazz music genres such as son cubano, salsa, timba and cha cha. The event will begin at 7.45pm and given the limited number of seats available, music lovers should reserve a table soon.

Also on in Limassol this week is a live acoustic session by two highly-respected musicians of the island. Guitarist Ermis Michail and vocalist Vicky Anastasiou will be at Vinylio Wine etc on Sunday 16 for a music set starting at 7.30pm. On May 21, Vinylio Wine Etc bar has more live music in store for Limassolians with a jazzy live and wine evening with Alexis Kasinos and Kate Petrou performing blues, French jazz and acoustic jazz tunes. The premise is the same as in the last few months. Book a table soon, arrive early with your masks on and enjoy some much-missed live music under the hot spring night sky.
