One death from coronavirus and 57 new cases were announced on Monday.

The cases were found from 39,852 PCR and rapid tests, a positivity rate of 0.14 per cent.

The death was a man, aged 68. The number of deaths from Covid-19 so far is 374: 251 men and 123 women with average age of 77.

There are 30 patients with Covid-19 in state hospitals, 11 of whom in serious condition. Eight patients are intubated.

Four of the new cases concern contact tracing, 10 were people who got tested privately, and one case was among samples processed in state hospitals’ labs.

Ten cases were passengers who arrived at the Larnaca and Paphos airports.

Another 32 cases were among the rapid tests carried out in all districts on behalf of the health ministry. Of these, 14 were detected in the Nicosia district (0.13 per cent), 12 in Limassol (0.17 per cent), one in Larnaca (0.01 per cent), three in Paphos (0.10 per cent) and two in the Famagusta district (0.07 per cent).

The number of cases recorded so far is 73,247.
