The department of antiquities announced on Monday that the lighting at Larnaca castle have been switched off due to “serious technical problems”

“Efforts are being made by all those involved in the project including the department of electromechanical services to resolve the problems as soon as possible,” the department said.

In the meantime, in cooperation with the municipality of Larnaca, temporary lighting measures will be taken on the pedestrian street east of the castle for safe access.
