Police on Tuesday are investigating an explosion in a vehicle parked outside a home in Limassol.

The car was parked outside the home of the 53-year-old owner of the vehicle in the Tsirio area.

Around 3:45am an explosion was heard, and police rushed to the scene, where members of the bomb squad determined that a small plastic impromptu explosive substance was placed in the vehicle.

Police took evidence from the scene, and statements from the man, who claimed he did not have any problems with anyone, and some CCTV footage.
