A 52-year-old man was remanded for three days on Sunday in connection with a case of burglary and malicious damage.
A 63-year-old businessman reported to police on October 28 that between August and October 28 this year his restaurant had been broken into.
Restaurant equipment and alcoholic beverages totalling €40,000 had been stolen.
Damage caused to the restaurant during the break in was valued at €1,500.
Assistant director of Paphos police Michalis Nikolaou said suspicions were raised against the 52-year-old, the former owner of the restaurant.
He was arrested on Saturday.
