A 35-year-old man who was arrested in France last month on the basis of a European warrant issued by the Cypriot authorities for fraud is to appear in court in Larnaca on Friday.
The man was arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation regarding alleged offences including conspiracy to commit a felony, obtaining goods by false pretences, computer fraud and money laundering.
According to the police, the man, a resident of the United Kingdom, was arrested in France on December 26, with Cypriot police officers having travelled to France to transfer him to Cyprus.
The man arrived on Wednesday night at Larnaca airport and is expected to appear in court for the issuance of a remand.
The alleged offences were committed in Cyprus in 2016 and involve the sum of €31,000.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
