A 25-year-old man’s car was destroyed in a fire during the early hours of Wednesday morning in a Limassol district village. The incident took place just after midnight.
According to police, the vehicle was parked in the yard of the owner’s house when the blaze erupted. Firefighters rushed to the scene and managed to put out the flames. Officers from the Limassol municipal and regional police departments, along with members of the Kalo Chorio police station, were also on the scene.
Initial investigations suggest the fire was started deliberately using flammable material. The car, valued at around €18,000, was completely gutted.
Authorities secured the area overnight, and further examinations began at first light. The investigation into the suspected arson attack is ongoing.
