A person was rescued after becoming trapped in their vehicle when it overturned on Monday night in Tseri, Nicosia.

The fire department was alerted and dispatched a team to the scene. Rescuers used a harness to safely extract the individual, who was then transported to the emergency department at Nicosia general hospital.

“The individual was discharged after undergoing the necessary examinations,” police said.

In the past 24 hours, the fire department responded to 36 incidents, including 21 fires and 15 special service calls.
