Seven tourists have been added to Ayia Napa’s long list of honorary regular visitors, the municipality said on Wednesday.

The new ‘tourism ambassadors’ are Paul Johnson with 61 visits, Michael and Vivien Pratt with 30 visits and Brian and Julie Graigs with 22 visits, all from Britain, and Salome Liliane Aebischer and Brigitte Ursula Aebischer-Burckhardt from Switzerland with 25 visits each.

Ayia Napa Deputy mayor Antonis Christou presented the ‘tourism ambassadors’ with commemorative plaques on Tuesday, saying they were now “not considered just visitors, but honorary citizens and members of the large family of the town”.

The seven tourists said they were touched by the honour and that they would continue to visit Ayia Napa for many years to come.
