Temperatures will climb to around 31C across the interior and the south and east coasts on Saturday, with isolated showers possible over Troodos after noon.

According to the Met Office, the day will begin mostly clear before cloud increases in the afternoon, with any expected rain to be brief and confined to the mountains.

Paphos and Polis Chrysochous will see highs of around 29C, while Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol and Ayia Napa will be warmer at around 31C.

Overnight, lows will fall to 19C in Nicosia and around 20C in Limassol and Larnaca, while Troodos will drop to 11C.

Cloud will build through the weekend until Tuesday, bringing isolated rain and potential thunderstorms around midday, affecting Nicosia, Morphou and Kyrenia.

Temperatures will dip slightly on Monday before levelling off on Tuesday.
