Eleven people died and 27 were injured in western Turkey on Sunday when a bus overturned after colliding with a truck.

The crash occured near the entrance to a highway linking the city of Bursa with the coastal city of Izmir. Emergency crews were sent to the scene.

Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Cifci said on X that the authorities were “closely monitoring the situation” in coordination with all relevant bodies.
