Actor Brad Pitt has been granted joint custody of his five underage children with former wife, actress Angelina Jolie, in a tentative ruling.

The former couple had hired a private judge, John Ouderkirk, to oversee the case. Ouderkirk delivered a lengthy verdict on Wednesday following months of witness testimony, including child services professionals who interviewed the Jolie-Pitt children and others who have been around the family.

Pitt, who split from Jolie in 2016, was reportedly granted a request to adjust the current custody agreement to allow him more time with his children, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The new arrangement tentatively splits Pitt’s legal custody equally with his ex-wife.
