A soldier serving at the British bases died in a road accident early on Saturday on the Kolossi to Akrtotiri road while two others who were in the same vehicle were injured.

A spokesman of the bases said the accident did not involve another vehicle.

According to the bases spokesperson the other two other soldiers are in hospital with minor injuries.

He added that police investigations are underway to verify the circumstances of the accident.
