The third humanitarian aid package from Cyprus to the people of Ukraine departs Saturday from Limassol port, and is being shipped through Greece and then on to Romania.
Citizens Commissioner Panayiotis Sentonas said on Friday the package includes mainly medical equipment such as respirators, defibrillators and first aid supplies.
Inside there are also, firefighting uniforms provided by the Cyprus fire department and other medicines donated by the Cyprus Red Cross.
The package was transported to the port under the escort of Sentonas, accompanied by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Cyprus Ruslan Nimchynskyi.
Sentonas said the shipment would first stop-over in Thessaloniki first before reaching the humanitarian aid centre set up by the European civil protection agency in Romania.
The Citizens Commissioner thanked all those who have helped in the effort.
