President Nicos Anastasiadis will travel to Athens on Friday to meet Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and receive the presidential aircraft donated by Greece.

After a meeting at the Maximos palace, Anastasiades and Mitsotakis will go to Elefsina airport, where in a special ceremony, Anastasiades will receive the civil aircraft that is a donation from Greece to Cyprus, for the purpose of the official travels of Cyprus presidents and members of the cabinet. It will also be used for urgent medical needs.

After the ceremony, the Anastasiades and his entourage will board the aircraft to return to Cyprus.

Present at the ceremony will be Defence Minister Charalambos Petridis, government spokesperson Marios Pelekanos, the deputy minister to the president, Petros Dimitriou, the chief of the National Guard, Demokritos Zervakis and the director of the president’s office Pantelis Pantelidis.
