Two people were arrested for breaking into a woman’s home in Paphos in the past month and stealing €2,000, police said on Wednesday.
According to deputy police chief of operations in Paphos Michalis Nicolaou, the 43-year-old woman reported on Tuesday that between December 8 last year and January 9 this year, her house was broken into.
Police found the balcony door had been broken, and from which the perpetrators entered.
Officers secured a witness testimony against a 31-year-old who was arrested on Tuesday and within a few hours, arrested another man aged 42, in his home.
A search in his property found many of the stolen items. Paphos police continue investigations.
