Before the year ends, the artists of the island enrich the cultural scene by presenting new artistic projects. A series of new exhibitions open this month around the country with showcases in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos.
First up is a group exhibition at Roes Gallery in Nicosia which opens on Friday. Titled Romantic Realism III, eight artists will display their works in the old Strovolos gallery. Painter Vasilis Mitas and the artists Antigone Pericleous Papadopoulou, Ioanna Aristeidou Fella, Maria Christodoulidou, Pantelitsa Zinieri, Stavros Voniatis, Julia Michael and Christiana Georgiou will present their pieces until December 16.
An exhibition will open in Limassol on Friday as well. Konstantinos Giotis will present his showcase Everything’s Fine at Eins Gallery. This is the artist’s first solo exhibition at the gallery which will run into the New Year, lasting until February 1.
Later in the month, Fotini Michailidi will be hosted at Paphos’ Psifida Art Gallery to present The Divine Self – a series of installations, paintings and artworks that explore concepts and stereotypes of the ‘ideal life’ as well as societal norms. This exhibition will open on December 21 and last until early 2025, wrapping up on January 19.
