The Association of Cypriot Professionals in Greece (ACPG), which aims to promote innovation and foster collaboration between the two countries, was officially launched on Wednesday.

According to the announcement, this new initiative, which is also backed by the Cyprus embassy, aims to strengthen the presence of Cypriot professionals in Greece.

“Uniting Cypriots from various sectors, including business, science, and culture, the association provides a platform for networking, professional development, and knowledge sharing,” the announcement said.

“By bridging the professional communities of Cyprus and Greece, the ACPG seeks to raise the visibility of Cypriot professionals, creating new opportunities for growth while contributing to both countries’ economies,” it added.

The association’s president, Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou said that “the establishment of ACPG is a milestone for the Cypriot community in Greece”.

“We unite our forces to strengthen the presence of Cypriot professionals, promote innovation, and contribute meaningfully to the further development of the strong ties between Greece and Cyprus,” she added.

What is more, Cyprus’ ambassador to Greece Stavros Avgoustidis, also expressed his support for the initiative.

“The association addresses a significant need for networking and empowering Cypriots excelling in Greece,” he said.

“As Ambassador, I express my full support for this initiative,” he added.

“This initiative,” he continued, “further expands and deepens our bilateral cooperation with Greece. The actions of the Association will be a source of inspiration for all of us.”

Through its website and social media channels, ACPG will facilitate connections between Cypriot professionals and their Greek counterparts, creating opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

The association is set to play a key role in strengthening Cyprus-Greece relations while supporting the professional development of Cypriots in Greece.
