Police are investigating a pair of robberies at kiosks in Limassol, which are believed to have been committed by the same individuals. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to police reports, the first robbery took place just after 4.10 am. An unknown individual, their face covered, violently kicked the glass security door of a kiosk in the Mesa Geitonia area. The door was locked, but the suspect managed to break in. Armed with a bat, the thief approached the cash register. However, the kiosk assistant reacted quickly, forcing the suspect to flee the scene.

Only minutes later, two masked individuals attempted a second robbery at another kiosk nearby. They broke the glass door to enter the store. One of the suspects threatened a staff member in the storage room with a bat, while the other stole €230 in cash and some cigarettes from the till.

The two suspects then fled the scene.

The police have cordoned off the areas where the incidents occurred and are conducting investigations to track down the culprits.
