Police on Friday are investigating an overnight shooting in Limassol’s Ayios Andreas area, at an investment company’s offices.
According to police, seven shots were fired by a motorcycle rider just after midnight, while staff were present in the building. The rider, wearing dark clothing and a helmet, managed to get away after shattering a glass window.
State broadcaster CyBC reported that the shots were fired against “foreign interest” company’s offices, without giving further details.
Police have examined CCTV footage and ascertained that the shots were fired from a single weapon, believed to be a pistol, from which seven casings were recovered and taken as evidence.
The suspect is being sought by Limassol CID as investigation continues and the scene remains under guard.
