The police on Saturday said they are investigating what they believe to be an attempted murder carried out in the Limassol district village of Souni the previous day.
The incident took place at around 3pm, with a 55-year-old man saying he was run over by a car driven by a 37-year-old man while he was walking his dogs.
He said he had previously been warned by the man to not walk his dogs in the area.
He was taken to the Limassol general hospital, where it was found that he had suffered a bruise on his left leg. He was then discharged.
The police arrested the 37-year-old on Saturday morning. Their investigation into the matter is ongoing.
