Paphos police on Wednesday are investigating a case of vehicle theft, following their arrest of two suspects, aged 18 and 23.

According to police headquarters, the 18-year-old was arrested on Tuesday at midnight and the 23-year-old earlier around 8pm. The stole car had been reported on Sunday to the CID.

According to the 45-year-old owner, the theft was committed over the weekend on Saturday or Sunday, while the vehicle had been parked outside his residence.

Police located the parked stolen vehicle in Chlorakas on Tuesday afternoon with the 23-year-old inside. Officers found power tools and other electrical equipment in the car, for which the man could not provide adequate explanation.

Police are furthering the investigation.
