A bomb was placed under a 20-year-old man’s car in Limassol, police said on Saturday.

The explosion was heard shortly after 2am, though the man notified police some two hours later. He told officers he initially thought it was a firecracker and did not think it was linked to his car.

His vehicle was parked outside his home. The front of the car was damaged and there were also damages to the parts of the home.

In his police report, the 20-year-old said he does not have any differences with anyone.

Police investigations continue.
