The court proceedings for a 41-year-old civil servant accused of assaulting his supervisor in Paphos are set to begin on March 26, according to Paphos assistant police director, Michalis Nicolaou.
Nicolaou said that a restraining order has been issued, prohibiting the suspect from approaching the complainant.
The suspect was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into charges of malicious damage, assault and disturbing the peace.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred at around 8am on Thursday. The suspect, a civil servant from the Paphos district, had recently returned to work after a long absence due to health reasons.
Upon being informed of his new duties, he allegedly reacted aggressively, caused damage to government property, and assaulted his supervisor.
