Contracts were signed on for the creation of a new cemetery within the bounds of the Polis Chrysochous municipality, the town’s mayor announced on Friday.

He said the contract had been signed with construction company Panath Construction Ltd, and that the deal is worth exactly €331,816.90 plus value added tax.

He told the Cyprus News Agency that the new cemetery will be located on the Pelathousa road, next to the municipal slaughterhouse.
