Yet another delivery driver attack was reported by police late on Wednesday, having taken place overnight in Limassol, bringing the total number of such attacks up to three.

Following two attacks reported earlier, police said a third attack had taken place shortly after midnight.

The latest victim is a driver who works as a food delivery man but was off duty at the time, driving a rented moped in Ayia Fyla.

The victim reported that unknown perpetrators on a motorcycle shoved him, causing him to fall to the ground. The man escaped uninjured.

Police said they had not ruled out the possibility that all three attacks were carried out by the same individuals.

Two overnight attacks had been reported earlier in the same district.

The first involved a 24-year-old food distributor who told police shortly after 10pm, that he was attacked by two hooded men riding a motorcycle on Georgiou A’ Avenue, near the Poseidonia Hotel.

The perpetrators hit the victim, injuring him and knocking him off his moped. They then stole the moped and the driver’s shoulder bag containing a sum of €100.

The victim was taken to Limassol General Hospital where it was determined that he had suffered an ankle sprain. The moped was later located via GPS and taken to Limassol CID for investigation.

In the second case, a 22-year-old delivery man also reported that he was attacked by two hooded men on a black motorcycle. That assault happened at 11.30pm while he was at a traffic light on Makariou III and Agias Zoni Avenue.

The motorbike passenger kicked the delivery worker causing him to fall to the ground. He did not sustain injuries.
