A building in Paralimni was lightly damaged by a fire that broke out in the early hours of Friday, which police have attributed to arson.

The police were notified at 3am of the fire in Kappari area and by the time the firefighters arrived it had already been put out.

The scene has been cordoned off and investigations are ongoing.
