A 50-year-old man arrested in Nicosia on Sunday night after police discovered a pistol in his car and a bullet at a kiosk which he had visited shortly prior to his arrest was remanded in custody on Monday.
Police had been called to a kiosk in Nicosia after being informed that a man was inside with a pistol in his possession.
They later tracked him down and arrested him, reporting he had verbally admitted that the bullet found at the kiosk belonged to him.
He appeared in court on Monday and was remanded in custody for four days.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
