A 34-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday at Larnaca airport after arriving with over 24kg of cannabis in his suitcase.

Police and customs officers searched the man’s luggage and found 44 packages with cannabis weighing a total of 24.568kg.

The man was arrested and will be taken before the Larnaca district court on Wednesday for a remand order.
