Photographs show a light snowfall was seen at the peak of the Troodos mountains on Sunday.

Barely covering the ground, it could still explain why it felt so cold around the island.

The car air mass is expected to leave on Monday, while fine weather in the morning will give way to cloud.

The temperature will show a small rise but will remain below the average for the time of year, reaching to between 15 and 18C inland and around 2C on the mountains.
