Tuesday will begin with mainly clear skies across Cyprus before cloud accumulates later in the day, bringing a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.

According to the met office, rain is expected around midday and early afternoon, mainly affecting mainly Nicosia and Troodos.

Temperatures will rise to around 29C in Nicosia, about 24C in Limassol, Famagusta and Kyrenia, 23C in Paphos, and near 18C in Troodos.

Conditions will clear again overnight, although some low cloud and patchy fog may form early in the morning, particularly in Nicosia and Larnaca.

Similar conditions are expected to continue through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with intervals of increased cloud and a chance of isolated afternoon showers, mainly in Nicosia and Troodos.

Temperatures are expected to remain slightly above average for the time of year.
