Eight Ukrainian children affected by Russia’s war have spent a holiday in Cyprus following an initiative by President Nikos Christodoulides.

The trip was made possible through cooperation between the president’s office, the foreign ministry, the deputy tourism ministry and Cyprus’ embassy in Kyiv.

It also involved the Ukrainian ombudsman’s office, the Child Rights Protection Centre, tour operator Join UP and SkyUp Airlines.

The children enjoyed Cyprus’ beaches, nature, cuisine and culture, creating positive memories away from the realities of war.
