Sunday’s weather will be hot and sunny across most of the island during most of the day, with the mercury set to rise to a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius in inland areas.
Temperatures are expected to be cooler on the coasts and in the mountains, where increased cloud cover may produce isolated rain showers during the afternoon.
Overnight, the skies will remain largely clear, though light fog or mist may form during the early hours of Monday morning.
Temperatures will drop to 24 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast, and 21 degrees Celsius in the mountains.
Monday’s weather is expected to be largely similar, with clear skies expected to continue through the first half of the week, though tempered by increased cloud cover in the mountains.
Isolated rain is expected in the mountains on Thursday, while temperatures are expected to remain stable over the coming days.
