The health ministry announced the operation of 57 rapid testing sites nationwide on Friday, as part of the mandatory weekly coronavirus testing of employees including self-employed people.

The test sites provide free antigen tests for the public but also aim to ensure the mandatory testing of the working force according to the health ministry’s decree.

These include a percentage of employers in private and state organisations and companies, as well as all self-employed persons, school staff and students.

Additional mobile units will also operate in private and state high schools, the announcement said.

The ministry reiterated that citizens must carry their ID or other identification documents such as their passport to undergo a rapid test.
