Our smartphones have long ceased to be about only making phone-calls – they’re our go-to device for just about anything requiring measurement, research, recording, or entertainment.

This usefulness often means we are absorbed in using them as we go about our day – and in the house, often prop them up on makeshift ‘stands’ as we undertake other tasks nearby. As most of us know from first-hand experience, this is less than ideal, with phones falling to the ground, scratching, acquiring food flecks… the list goes on.

Fortunately, this video demonstrates how to make a dedicated smartphone stand that is sure to come in handy the next time we try to balance our device precariously against something, or jam it between unsuitable items in a bid to keep it upright and hands-free.
