The defence minister of Slovakia, Jaroslav Naď, will visit Cyprus on Thursday to discuss the promotion of defence and military cooperation between the two countries.
During his visit, the Slovak minister will have a private meeting with his Cypriot counterpart Charalambos Petrides.
A bilateral meeting of the delegations of the two ministries is expected to follow, where issues of defence cooperation will be discussed.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding is expected to be discussed and agreed upon with the aim of establishing general principles and procedures for the promotion of defence and military cooperation between the two countries.
Jaroslav Naď will then attend events marking the completion of 20 years of Slovakia’s contribution and participation in Unficyp.
