That is what is next in line at Sarah’s Jazz Club, music evenings with local artists playing sweet jazz, electric blues and lively Cuban salsa. Continuing its weekly lives, the Nicosia jazz bar has another eventful week planned.
On April 1, the Workin’ Jazz Trio will the trio will perform an entertaining and stimulating musical set with some of today’s most well-known jazz standards. On stage, established musicians of the local jazz scene, Charis Ioannou, Christos Yerolatsitis and Marios Spyrou, will bring some of the very best of jazz to the capital.
Adding to the weekend’s music was going to be a performance by The Zilla Project on April 2 yet their show has been postponed due to covid reasons. Fear not though music lovers, plenty more is coming to Sarah’s Jazz Club this April. One of the month’s performances pays tribute to Retro Jukebox Hits. On April 8, Anthea Xydas celebrates musical history with some of the most well-known hits from the 1920s to the 1990s.
The evening’s repertoire will include songs by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, Queen, Frank Sinatra, ABBA and more songs you would find in a traditional jukebox. Three musicians will accompany Anthea on stage, as well as three guest singers to create a nostalgic evening with all-time favourite songs.
