With the Spring Equinox behind us and a new season upon us, this time of year can be taken as a cleansing period in more meaning than one. Easter is coming up with its pre-celebration fasting, a spring-cleaning frenzy and an inner boost as sunnier days await. Wanting to make the most of April’s natural gifts, a collaborative one-day event invites participants to embark on a journey.

Coheali Eco Experience, Didgeridoo Meditation and Maria Papastergiou are organising a fun day in Akamas exploring foraging, survival skills, sound healing with didgeridoo and yoga. In a nutshell, that is what April 10’s event is all about – a cleansing journey as its name suggests.

“Come with us for a Cleansing journey in the magical Akamas,” say the organisers, “where we will identify herbs and edible plants and use cleansing techniques to let go of the unnecessary through movement, sound, voice and water.”

Maria will share some of nature’s secrets, guiding participants on how to identify plants and herbs, which ones are edible and can be used for health care. Then, co-organiser Afroditi will lead a short movement and breathing session to inspire earth connection and stillness. Both events will take place with translations in Greek and English though the final component of the event requires no language as it is a silent session. Ayis will guide participants through a powerful didgeridoo sound meditative journey by the ancient temple ruins, wrapping up the end with sound healing.
