We visited Varosha, the part of Famagusta that used to be the main beach and tourist area – and has been a ghost town since 1974, left exactly as it was, before being unilaterally opened by the Turkish side in 2020.

We also talked to some visitors there, a few Greek Cypriots and a Turkish Cypriot.
