AstroBank has appointed Natasa Pilides, former Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, as an independent member of its board of directors.
According to an announcement released on Friday, the appointment became effective on November 14, following approval by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC).
Pilides, a qualified chartered accountant, graduated from Oxford University with a first-class honours degree in Modern Languages and Literature, specialising in French and Italian.
She is currently the director of Conferences and Exhibitions at IMH and a Non-Executive Director at the Karaiskakio foundation.
Her extensive career includes serving as Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry from July 2020 to March 2023 and as the first Deputy Minister of Shipping from 2018 to 2020.
Prior to this, she was the director general of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency, now known as Invest Cyprus, from April 2016 to March 2018.
