Three people were arrested in Paphos on Monday for allegedly circulating forged documents and impersonation.

Paphos police’s Michalis Nicolaou said that between 7.30pm and 8pm, three people attempted to check in separately at Paphos Airport, to travel to a European country.

All three – a woman, 30, and two men, 34, of African origin – presented European identity cards, which turned out to be forged.

The three people admitted to impersonation and forgery, were arrested and placed in custody.

Police are investigating.
