Are you a photography lover eager to spend a day out capturing the festive streets of the capital? A nine-hour photography event is coming up this Saturday uniting photographers of all levels.

The Nicosia Branch of the Cyprus Photographic Society organises the 3rd International Photography Marathon Nicosia, encouraging participants to roam the city streets and document Nicosia’s people, landscapes, scenes and Christmas spirit. Think you have what it takes? You have from 10.30am to 7.30pm to take photos and enter a contest to win €300.

The marathon is in collaboration with Nicosia Municipality and the Nicosia Tourism Board and costs just €5 to enter. Participants will meet early on Saturday morning at Eleftheria Square at 8.30am to register and get their participation number. After some announcements, an explanation of how the marathon procedure works and a group photo, photographers will embark on an all-day photo walk.

They will walk in the city either alone or with friends and within the nine-hour timeframe take and submit eight photos, two for each of the four different categories that will be announced at the start. Once all photos are in, a winner will be announced.
