Two Limassol men were remanded in custody on Sunday after two kiosk owners reported they were attacked at dawn on Saturday.
Police said that in both cases, two people who had covered their faces entered the kiosk, both in Mesa Yitonia, threatened the person working there with a stick and managed to take an amount of money from one of them.
After investigations, police first arrested a 20-year-old suspected of being involved in both incidents. Later they arrested a second man who was with him, aged 38.
The first was arrested on Saturday afternoon after a warrant was issued. He reportedly admitted to both offences.
The two men were taken to Limassol district court on Sunday which issued a five-day remand order against them.
In addition to the two attacks on Saturday morning, the two men are suspected of being behind a further two attacks on kiosks in Limassol recently.
