Police arrested an 18-year-old man from the Limassol district on Monday afternoon as part of an investigation into a case involving conspiracy to commit a felony, abduction or kidnapping with intent to unlawfully restrain, robbery and other offences. The crimes were committed on February 28 in Limassol.

According to a police statement, two other men, aged 29 and 24, were already in custody for three days in connection with the same case after being arrested on March 1.

Last week on Saturday morning, a 17-year-old in Limassol reported getting kidnapped in a van, beaten, and threatened he would be killed.

He was allegedly taken to an isolated area at Kolossi castle where his phone was stolen, he was left abandoned and told if he spoke a word over what happened, his house would be burned down, according to police.

The incident unfolded at around 11.45pm in Kolossi, where the teenager was outside a kiosk. A saloon car pulled up with a man and a woman inside, while at the same time, a van turned up and the driver violently shoved the boy in the vehicle.

Limassol police are continuing their investigations.
